Learn To Read Charts:

Cost: $60 for both classes

In this class you will learn how to decipher patterns that are written in chart form.

Abby’s Beach Shawl:

Date: Friday 7, 21, 28   
Time: 10:00 - 12:00  
Cost: $60 plus supplies

Materials needed:
Yarn: 800 yards of a dk weight or sport weight
Needles: Size 8 40” circular needles
Notions: 24 stitch markers

This is a beginner level top-down shawl in a semi-circular shape.

Building in Color:

Date: Saturday 8 or Monday 10th   
Time: 1:00 - 3:00
Cost: $20 per month plus supplies
6 spaces available each day offered.
Prerequisite skills: Cast on/ bind off, knit, purl
Skills learned with all ten panels: Intarsia, Embroidery, Joining a new color, Double Ended Knitting, Short Rows, Knit Below, Make One Purl, Elongated Stitch, Mosaic Knitting, Butterfly Stitch, Intarsia Cable, Tuck Stitch, Seaming, Borders.
Materials needed:
Yarn: 936 yards of 3 colors each worsted weight yarn
Needle: size 6 24” and 40” circular needles
Book: Building in Color
Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers, cable needle for panel #9, sticky notes are optional

This 2hr session occurs once per month and you may start any month you would like. Building in Color introduces new stitches and techniques along with discovering color knitting. Each panel is designed to build your confidence while managing multiple yarns in creating your blanket.

Make It Your Way Christmas Stocking:

Let’s knit a Christmas sock together! They make a great gift that is personal and unique.

Building Blocks:

Date: Saturday 15 or Monday 17

Yarn: 1400 total yards in a worsted weight yarn in 1 or more colors. All blocks can be 1 color or all different colors your choice. Endless possibilities.

The building block series was designed to build your skills as a knitter, one block at a time. Each block builds upon the skills of the last pattern.  At the end of this blanket you will have more confidence and knowledge as well as a beautiful blanket to show off! This is a 2hr session once per month, you may start any month you would like.

Harvest Sweater:

Date: Saturday Sept. 22 , 29, Oct. 6, 20

Skills learned: provisional cast on, picking up stitches, separating sleeves and body, m1L, M1R, finishing
Materials:  
Yarn: worsted weight (pick the size and we will let you know the yardage) sizes range from 0/6 months through adult 4xl.  
Needle: size 6 and 8  32” circular.
Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn
Pattern: Harvest by TinCanKnits
Gauge: 18 stitches and 26 rows/ 4” in stockinette using the size 8 needles.
Homework: make sure your gauge is correct!! Change needles if needed to accomplish this.

Entrelac Scarf:

Notions: counter or highlighter tape is recommended.

Entrelac is different from that of any other types of knitting. It is composed of tiers of blocks that are set on their points, making diamond shapes. With easy and clear instructions, you will be hooked on entrelac and the beautiful pieces you can make.

Learn to learn the basic stitches of knitting and purling.  Class project will be washcloths which will teach you how to use these basic stitches to make patterned knitting.  By the end of class you will be ready to move on to projects like socks, hats and scarves, even sweaters

Beginning Crochet:

Learn the basics of crochet or refresh those skills you learned as a child.  After learning the 4 basic stitches we will work on simple washcloths and how to read patterns.

Steam and Brass: A Simple Crochet Shawl:

Date: Monday 17, 24

Materials:
Yarn: 400 - 600 yards Sport weight
Hook: H

Based on the “Age of Brass and Steam” knitted shawlette by Orange Flower Yarn. The shawl beautifully simple and can be made as large or small as you’d like just by adding repeats of the pattern.  This shawl can be made with any yarn/hook combination as long as it will result in a nice drape for the fabric. If you have taken the beginning crochet class and need a next project this is the one for you.

Dazzle Hat:

Yarn: 220 - 300 yards Fingering weight, at least 2 colors
Needle: Size 3

If you are tired of making traditional hats for Christmas gifts here is your way out of the rut.  The Dazzle hat looks more complicated than it actually is! Knitted using fun, easy garter stitch short row stripes, this hat offers many options to play with color and works up super fast. Try it in two colors, or break out a four-color gradient set or ombré sock blank paired with a main color for a cool ombré effect. Also it works great for using up scraps! This pattern is worked in a series of striped short row wedges, based on German Short Row knitting.

Need help on  a project and there is no class scheduled for that problem.  Or need some help but don't need the chaos of the shop? This may be your answer.  This two hour session is after closing on Saturday and WW is there to help with your questions on projects.  Not one-on-one but a quiet and supportive environment. Pay when you come for help. Open to all levels.

Sock Blank Dyeing:

In this class you will learn how to dye your own sock blanks! What is a sock blank? It is a length of knitted fabric that can be dyed and unravelled in order to knit a pair of socks, a cowl, a hat, mitts, anything you can make with one skein of sock yarn.
